Dreaming the Second

[Philip's sleep-thrashing stilled at the end, gradually easing into wakefulness with a tired smile on his face; those bedcovers really would never be the same.]

[It was the night before the wedding and Aurora's nerves were on the edge. Rapunzel assured her that everything would be perfect and ready tomorrow. But Aurora still couldn't sleep very deeply. When she heard Maleficent's voice over the Dreamberry she shot up in a panic and then saw...

Phillip's dream. She wondered if she should go to him. She didn't even know that he had to face such a harrowing task to reach her! Oh her brave love! But... it was the night before the wedding... A video then... and if he wanted to see her, well, he was only downstairs...]

Phillip?

Mmn?

[His smile grew, as he blinked gummy eyelids open a few times; he's not very far awake yet.]

Eh? Why shouldn't it- [OHHH, the dream.

Whoops!] Things were wrong, very wrong not all that long ago. But now?

[Have a reassuring ~~shirtless chest~~ smile.] The only way it could be righter is if it were later today.

Oh Phillip, it's going to be wonderful! I simply can't wait. [It's why she had trouble sleeping.]

Well, I suppose if you really wanted we could sneak off before the rush and hunt down someone to marry us right away... [He is so totally grinning at you right now!]

I don't think I mentioned that Rapunzel has the door to my room guarded by Pascal and my woodland friends. So you're welcome to try but I think Pascal can stop stop you.

Oh, is that a challenge? [He thought he'd just shown how good he was against lizards, but if she wanted to see it in action...]

[Just think how practical he would find it! Late-night snacks, stunning unusually large prey, doing Epic Battle with Flynn for who gets to sleep next to Rapunzel...]

Well, I don't think he'll mind so much once we're wed. Actually, that's something I wanted to discuss with you. Now I suppose is as good as any time.

Do you... well, there is a master bedroom to the cottage, I spoke with Rapunzel about this and I was wondering if you wished to move into it with me once we're wed.

I'd noticed that before; it seemed a little presumptuous to take the main bedroom all on my own, but...

Well, under the circumstances, don't you think it's appropriate? [PHILIP certainly does! He's had Thoughts about that big bed, you can be sure.]

I do, only after the wedding, of course. We'll have to decorate it.

Well, I wasn't about to suggest we do it now... But yes, I expect some decoration would be required.

Hmm, what of the floors? [He'd been thinking hardwood with some nice woolen red-and-white rugs, and a big purple eiderdown on the bed... and if he had his druthers, red satin sheets.

Enough touches to show it was a man's place too, right? He's not much of a hand with curtains or anything.]

Hmm? What about them, it's hardwood like the rest of the cottage.

[SO much better than flagstones, you would NOT believe] In which case, I think I've an idea or two. Still, it will be needing a 'woman's touch' to make it look proper and homely...

[Should he ask Rapunzel for help on that, maybe? He's kind of low on options here.]

Well, I'm able to lend plenty of a woman's touch. [She teased.]

Oh, I don't doubt that for a moment. [This seems like the perfect spot for a Saucy Wink.]

Well, then perhaps the first thing in order is changing the bedsheets.

Really? And here I'd been thinking the first thing was to get married.

All you have to do is remember to show up tomorrow, darling.

[She watches, frowning just a little bit...that is, until the end.]

That was kind of scary...but I'm glad you were able to save her.

Eh? [Give him a moment, he'll be shirtlessly blinking at you for a bit.]

Oh, that again. Does it really send out every dream to everyone?

I don't think it sends every dream, but I think it just depends on the person. I've only had two sent out to the network.

Well, I rather think it likes my dreams a bit too much. Is there any way of getting it to stop?

Apparently there are some ways to control your dreams, but not really any way to stop it entirely.

Even so, every little bit is useful.

What sort of 'controls' might be inflicted?

Well I think I've heard before that you can filter your dreams to people, and...just control what happens in your dream. It takes a lot of concentration and practice, though.

Still, it certainly sounds worth learning. By any chance, would you have any idea how to start- or for that matter, who to learn from?

I think to start you'd just have to try it for yourself. As for someone to learn from...I'm sorry, but I don't know.
